Vacation in Cedar Key
Our Rental Homes
Our rentals accommodate 2 to 10 people, are fully furnished, including linens, offer fully equipped kitchens, and cable television. Most have bookcases full with the owners' favorite reading, including bird guides, fish identification lists, local history, and just general "relax and pull up a good book" volumes. Far from the maddening crowds of the real world, we invite you to sit back and enjoy the natural beauty and native wild life from the porch, patio, or balcony, during your walk, bicycle ride or golf cart trip through Cedar Key, or while on a day trip to some of Florida's finest state parks, preserves and wildlife refuges.

"Real Florida". With natural waterways, great seafood, no high rises, no traffic jams-except when the locals stop in the street to exchange news and greetings-we invite you to join us for a weekend, week or month. Come for the kayaking, canoeing, nature walks and bird watching. Ride a golf cart, a bicycle, or walk anywhere in Cedar Key, we are "slower paced" friendly. We have one small beach, the rest of our waterfront is ALIVE, with saw grass and tidal flats, hosting the homes of literally hundreds of species of birds, fish and numerous other wild life.
Boat rentals, bike rentals and guided boat tours are available in Cedar Key. Please visit the Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce for a directory of local businesses and services.
The Cedar Key Historical Society has a museum and a walking tour, and the St. Clair Whitman Museum is operated by the State of Florida. The Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge is a scant 15 miles, with hiking, fishing, and a "drive by car" tour. Cedar Key State Preserve, 6 miles east of Cedar Key, on SR 24, offers bicycling, nature and horse trails and picnicking.
Like to fish? Cedar Key's waters are abundant in redfish, trout, whiting, grouper, cobia, both king and Spanish mackerel, shark and an occasional tarpon. Fish off your dock, a public pier, or hire a guide, you'll remember why you took a vacation.
